    • Masters Road Nationals ride into Ogden Wednesday
      More than 70 national titles will be on the line next week as top masters road cyclists from around the nation face off in Ogden, Utah, Sept. 3-7, for the 2014 USA Cycling Masters Road National Championships.
    • NCC: Allar, UHC men clinch 2014 titles
      Erica Allar (Tucson, Ariz./Colavita-Fine Cooking) and the UnitedHealthcare menandrsquo;s team clinched the 2014 USA Cycling National Criterium Calendar (NCC) womenandrsquo;s individual and menandrsquo;s team titles, respectively, following excellent showings at the 31st Chris Thater Memorial on Aug. 23 in Binghamton, N.Y.
    • Devo Wrap: U.S. a strong presence at Belgian kermesses
      U.S. juniors continued to climb podiums at Belgian kermesses, fortifying an already convincing summer campaign with the USA Cycling National Development Program (NDP). During the past several days, 11 riders in two distinct groups, in addition to six riders attending a 15-16 European race camp, were supported by USA Cycling as they gained valuable experience in international competition.

    Event Schedule

    Road Race Saturday August 16 The first race starts at 8 a.m. and starts and finishes at Rocky Mount, a small village north of Bossier City, Louisiana. To get to the Rocky Mount road race and time trial sites: From Interstate 20, go north on Benton Road (LA Hwy 3). Go through Benton without turning. From I- 20 it is about 19.5 miles until you turn right on LA Hwy 160. The race site is another 5 miles ahead at the intersection of Hwy 160 and 157 at the top of the hill.

    Time Trial Saturday August 16

    The Time Trial course is at the start/finish for the Road Race course. The first rider will go off at 2 p.m.

    Criterium Sunday August 17

    The criterium will be held at Bossier Parish Community College, 6220 East Texas Street, Bossier City, LA. Start times listed on page 7.

    Registration/ Packet pick-up

    Registration: https://www.usacycling.org/register/2014-2339 On-line registration closes August 14 11:00 pm CDT. Registration online fees apply. On-site registration $90. Register onsite Friday night at packet pickup or Saturday morning at the Road Race location, until 30 minutes prior to your race.

     

    Packet Pickup: Available at Bike’s Etc. 3723 East Texas Bossier City, LA 71111 Friday August 15 from 1:00pm until 7:00pm . Race Day Packet Pickup at 7:00 am and closes 30 minutes prior to your race. Packet Pickup will be at the old store front on Hwy 160 in front of parking area.

     *   Race / Auxiliary Training Clinics:  We hope to have some formal and informal clinics throughout the year to encourage participation in supported events.
     *   Rocky Mount Race:  Our Team sponsored race just gets bigger and better every year.
     *   Race Incentives:  New for 2013 is a Race Incentive Program where members are reimbursed registration and travel costs for competing.
